Hawai’i Public Infrastructure Program Manager/Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Sustainability Partners is looking for an Infrastructure Specialist in Hawai’i. This candidate will be the customer point of contact as projects are underway and coordinate ongoing maintenance. The right candidate will have an Engineering degree and a background in construction, infrastructure, energy systems, or associated fields. This role plays a crucial part in developing and maintaining successful operations for our customers as well as our internal staff.

The ideal Infrastructure Specialist will be expected to perform the following tasks in addition to others:

  • Review and assist with contract documents
  • Attend (virtually or in person) and lead meetings with contractors and customers
  • Maintain ongoing communications with project stakeholders
  • Review project drawings and specifications
  • Speak knowledgeably about project status
  • Visit project sites in person as required; working vehicle and valid driver’s license required
  • Identify and develop solutions for potential technical or procedural problems
  • Supervise projects and coordinate all team members to accomplish project related tasks, keep workflow on track, and meet all necessary deadlines
  • Keep track of product order with manufacturer/timeline
  • Involved in negotiating extended warranties and maintenance agreements
  • Manage the service needs of the customer and respond to service-related issues in a proactive manner
  • Interface daily with the SP Project Development team
  • Interface effectively with local vendor personnel
  • Track and coordinate distribution and installation of assets at customer locations
  • Be a liaison between local contractors and SP for vendor contracts

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Engineering
  • 5-10 years of experience in construction, infrastructure, or associated fields
  • Experience in development of energy systems
  • Current relationships with solar/battery charging vendors and customers
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Effective people and relationship building skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • Must reside in Hawai’i
  • Able to travel
